The WIAA Rules Manual for the 2026-27 season will be posted here once available.
The WIAA, in partnership with Referee Magazine, has released the official rules manual for the inaugural season of Girls Flag Football.
The manual combines NFHS Rules with WIAAÂ Exceptions to create a single, comprehensive resource for game play and rule interpretation.

The WIAA Executive Board has approved the Tournament Format for the 2025-26 season. Opening Round & Quarterfinal games for each classification will be played on February 7th. Once seeding is completed, seeds #1-4 and corresponding games will be assigned to the closest District approved site.Â
The Girls Flag Football State Championships have been approved by the WIAA Executive Board on a two-year action.
